I started work in the electronics industry at 16, later moving on to electronic communications at Reuters where I moved into the world of computers. From there I joined with a friend to start an electronics design & manufacture business where we used computers as design tools and as components in our products. Eventually broke away from that to work as a consultant designing and installing very high tech temperature monitoring and alarm systems in hospitals, food production and DNA research. Winding down to retirement I spent a few years providing IT support to local small businesses and home users, finally retiring after 52 years in leading edge technology.
